Bio

After graduating in 1996 with a BS in Industrial Design from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California I have been working as a freelance industrial designer working on many different products for wide range of companies.

My design work includes brainstorming and idea refinement to production of school supplies and craft kits for Elmer's, concept exploration and illustration for LEGO Futura, solid modeling for injection molding for 3Gen's DermLite, design and prototyping of a modular wall system for the Clestra Hauserman.

I like to say I can think like an engineer and a designer at the same time. My innovative work in the field of molecular diagnostics for Cepheid showcases my ability to simultaneously solve multiple complex problems without compromising design or science. And my understanding of physics, computers, electronics and structures allows me to synthesize effective solutions to problems and identify effective trade-offs.

As a motivated, focused entrepreneur who has created companies based on my own product concepts, I also understand the business and financial implications of the development process.
